blogger beta

i'm committed to trying out all the new features of this beta version of Blogger.

• wow: this week, the board announced to the staff that i've been appointed as interim/acting executive director of our agency. the staff and board support i've received regarding this has been enormous. i am really fortunate to have such supportive friends and colleagues surrounding me.
• baptism by fire: this has also been one of the more challenging weeks so far in my job. it was one of those weeks where a whole host of little fires popped up, from issues with funding partners to staff catastrophes to board relations - life's funny little way of testing my resolve, i suppose. thankfully i exist as a small piece of a large community - staff, management, board, friends and partners; together we work together, embolden each other, cheer for each other, cry with each other. i am never alone (for good or for bad).
  
• i am blessed. even when i'm super duper tired (which i super duper am), i have moments everyday when it hits me: "wow, this is my life. these are the very cool people i get to work with. this is the very cool work i get to do. these are the very cool friends i get to hang out with. my life is SO COOOL."
