embracing oneself

i am dorky.

i like sci fi and fantasy. i once almost bought pewter goblets because they were Renaissance. i have a pair of jeans that are so comfortable, i'd wear them every day if it were socially acceptable. i'd also shower less. showering and pooping are among my two bottom daily chores. we i can get away with doing either, like when camping, i do.

except i love the first shower after getting really gross.

i like to listen to songs on repeat until i get really really sick of them, and there are songs i simply don't get sick of. i can be pedantic. i like graphs, and stats. i listen to geeky podcasts like NPR Sunday Puzzle, and the Clark Howard Show, and Stuff You Should Know, and fan podcasts about the tv show LOST. every day.

i wear my work badge and bus pass around my neck. (one of my younger, more hip staff tells me she wouldn't be caught dead with them on her neck, which was my first clue that it was uncool).
