130p: Go to class; Argue that there is no "center" and no "margins" and to state so only reify and empower the concepts; Propose that power is contextual not constant (situated in time and place, but not singularly in one or the other); (This is difficult for folks to swallow; I haven't quite made my case yet.)
420p: Hop on bus back to downtown (City Hall) for city council hearing on 2007 proposed budget; Hug and cheer on IDHA youth (who are present to advocate for SYEP [Summer Youth Employment Program] funding)
630p: Hop on bus back home; Microwave fake chix nuggets & douse with Sriracha sauce in tupperware
715p: Take tupperware into car; Eat while driving to Shoreline; Listen to NPR special on labor practices in China
730p: Attend choral practice; Hit the high notes; Sing with more confidence
1000p: Come home; Write this blog entry
Days like this remind me that I have a magnificently full life. In one day, I had time for friends, work, advocacy, academia, song, arts, cocoa puffs... I'm so blessed it's absurd.
Ok, I'm exhausted - but what a day!!
