in Seoul

apologies for not having written in a long time. a lot has been going on. most recently, being sick...

my trip was wonderful. i've been posting on another blog about travel-related stuff. well, not recently - since i've been sick and writing exacerbates the headache. so this will be short and gushy.

last time i came to Korea, it was a step of faith - given to me with some direction, a visual map. it totally failed me and got me as far from the intended destination as it possibly could. (maybe i held it upside-down).

this time, it was a gut feeling and a huge, blind leap. so far, so good. aside from my health, life is good.

Alan and i had planned to go to Kyeong-ju this weekend (before it got too cold to travel), but we nixed that idea this morning after the hospital visit. i'm just too sick to travel.

instead, we are going to go to the opera. Carmen is playing at the Seoul Arts Centre this weekend; La Traviata at the Sejong Performance Center. i can't believe i have a boyfriend with whom i can go to the opera.

Alan is so cool (and so very good to me).
