greetings from Hanoi
i'm finishing up a two-day, three-night visit in Hanoi. (above, Hilton Hanoi Opera House) in about 10 minutes, i'll be leaving for a two-day, one-night trip to halong bay. then i'll head down to hoi an. i'm bummed out that my trip is so short because i'm finding myself making tough choices about where to stay and where to skip. i'll be leaving northern vietnam without seeing sapa, which really sucks. but i decided that i want to spend a few days in dalat, hence the compromise (below, Ho Chi Minh's Presidential Palace).
on my first day here, i met an argentinian who is studying in japan. my bus is here, so i'll finish this story later.

I think Mui Ne is worth it, this is the most relaxed I've been in 2 weeks. Come by if you get a chance-6 hrs from NT and 5 to SGN. I'd be willing to backtrack and meet you here if you do.
